Davidson Recorder 3 (circled) By Deputy Recorder $1.50 Paid      This Indenture, Made the Twentieth day of  May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-nine  Between David L. Clark of the City of Redlands, County of San Bernardino, State of California  the party of the first part,  and the City of Redlands, in said County State the party of the second part,  Witnesseth: That the said party of the first part, for and in consideration of the  sum of One Hundred (100) Dollars,  lawful money of the United States of America, to him in hand  paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged,  HAS granted, bargained and sold, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents DOes grant, bargain and sell, convey and confirm, unto the said party of the second part, and to its successors and assigns forever, all that certain lot, piece or parcel of land situate, lying and being in the City of Redlands County of San Bernardino, State of California, and bounded and particularly described as follows, to wit:- —  All the right, title, and interest of the said party of the first party in as to that certain strip of land which lies North and West of the line A, B, C, D, and E, as shown on the map of the Pro- posed Extension of Sylvan Boul- evard int the City of Redlands on file and of Record in the Re- corder's office in and for said County of San Bernardino, which said strip is forty (40) feet in width more or less Together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments and appurtenances there -  unto belonging, or in anywise appertaining, and the reversion and reversions, remainder  and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof,  To have and to hold all and singular the said premises, together with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the second part, and to its successors and assigns forever,  In Witness Whereof, the said party of the first part has hereunto set  his hand and seal the day and year first above written.  Signed, Sealed and Delivered in the Presence of  David L. Walsh, of Jackson County, State of Michigan and the City of Redlands in the County of San Bernardino, State of Cal- ifornia  the party of the second part,  Witnesseth: That the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the  sum of One Dollars,  lawful money of the United States of America, to him in hand  paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged,  HAS revised, released, and quitclaimed and by these presents DOes revise release and quitclaim unto the said party of the second part, and to its successors and assigns forever, all that certain lot, piece or parcel of land situate, lying and being in the City of Redlands County of San Bernardino, State of California and bounded and particularly described as follows, to wit:- —  All right, title and interest of the said party of the first party in and to all that certain strip of land lying North and East of the line E, H, and north and West of the line F, G, H, and I, as said lines are shown and appear on the map of the Propos- ed Extension of Sylvan Boulevard in said City, and which said strip is forty feet in width more or less Together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments and appurtenances there -  unto belonging, or in anywise appertaining, and the reversion and reversions, remainder  and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof,  And Also, all the estate, right, title, interest property,  possession, claim and demand whatsoever, as well in law as in equity, of the said party  of the first part, of, in and to the above-described premises, and every part and parcel  thereof, with the appurtenances. Davidson Recorder 3 (circled) By Deputy Recorder $1.50 Paid Know all men by these Presents: That for and in consideration of the sum of one Dollars, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, these certain parcels of land situate, lying and being in the City of Redlands County of San Bernardino, State of California, described as follows, to wit:- Beginning at a point on the North line of Water Street in said City Forty and four tenths (40.04) feet West from the North East corner of said Water Street and Tenth Street as shown on map of Proposed Extension of Sylvan Boulevar in said City, of second in the Recorder's Office of said County and moving thence due North to the South line of said Boulevard as shown on said map; Thence in a southwesterly direction along the South line of said Boulevar to a point thereon fifty feet due West from the line of the last described course from South to North; Thence due South to a point on said Water Street on the North line thereof fifty (50) feet West from the place of beginning; Thence due East along said North line of Water Street to place of beginning, as shown on aforesaid map; and also so much of that strip of land lying North and West of the line A, B, C, D and E, as shown on the aforesaid map as is --- - ed in the mortgage hereinafter describ- ed are hereby released from the lien of a mortgage, made by D. L. Clark to H. H. and I. Ford dated June 12th A.D. 1888, and recorded in the office of the County Recorder of said County of San Bernardino in Liber 8 of Mortgages, at page 457 In Witness Whereof, the said H. H. and I. Ford who who is known to me to be the person whose name is subscribed to the within instrument, and also as the Attorney in fact of Isaac Ford and acknowledged to me that he subscribed the name of Isaac Ford thereto as principal and his own name as Attorney in fact, and also for himself as principal, and acknowledged to me that he executed the same.
