HomeMy WebLinkAboutContracts & Agreements_3-2007AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT TO FURNISH ENGINEERING SERVICES TO PREPARE REDLANDS SPORTS PARK PARCEL MAP This amendment (this "Amendment") to the Agreement to furnish Engineering Services for Redlands Sports Park Parcel Map dated April 1, 2003 (the "Agreement"), by and between the City of Redlands, a municipal corporation ("City") and Hicks & Hartwick, Inc ("Consultant") is made and entered into this 2°d day of January, 2007 RECITALS WHEREAS, it is the desire of City and Consultant to amend their existing Agreement to change the scope of services to be provided by Consultant, NOW, THEREFORE, the Agreement between City and Consultant is hereby amended as follows Section 1 Exhibit "A" of the Agreement, is hereby amended to include within its scope the additional professional engineering services as detailed in Exhibit "1" dated December 19, 2006, of this Amendment Section 2 The additional professional engmeenng services shall be completed for a total cost of $5,000, as more fully detailed in the attached Exhibit "1" to this Amendment Section 3. All other sections of the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have executed this Second Amendment, to be effective as of January 2, 2007 CITY OF REDLANDS ATTEST. arnson, Mayor Hicks & Hartwick, Inc y Harold R Hartwick cy Long Poyzer, EXHIBIT I ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR PREPARING REVISIONS TO SPORTS PARK PARCEL MAP AND PROVIDING CONSTRUCTION SURVEYING FOR THE SPORTS PARK PROJECT DESCRIPTION The project consists of preparing a parcel map for the Redlands Sports Park and providing construction staking for the Sports Park improvements SCOPE OF SERVICES 1 Revise completed parcel map to move well property boundaries outside of the proposed right of way 2 Revise completed parcel map to show a Southern California Edison easement for the common trench serving the Sports Park and the Menton Acres Well site 3 Provide construction staking services for the fencing, lighting and landscaping construction contracts COST OF SERVICES The agreed upon cost for items one and two of the scope of services shall be $1,500 00 The agreed upon cost for item three of the scope of services shall be $3,500 00 The total cost for Amendment No 1 services shall not exceed $5,000 00 Preserve America Grant Application - On motion of Councilmember Gil, seconded by Councilmember Gilbreath, the City Council unanimously authorized staff to submit an application foi a Preserve America Grant Appointment - Library Board - On motion of Councilmember Gil, seconded by Councilmember Gilbreath, the City Council unanimously approved the recommendation of Mayor Harrison to re -appoint William Hardy, Jr to serve another three-year term ending January 1, 2010, on the Library Board of Trustees Appointment - Human Relations Commission - On motion of Councilmember Gil, seconded by Councilmember Gilbreath, the City Council unanimously approved the recommendation of Mayor Harrison to appoint Peter Soliman to the Human Relations Commission as the student commissioner for a term of one calendar year Advertising Sign - Redlands Baseball for Youth - On motion of Councilmember Gil, seconded by Councilmember Gilbreath, the City Council unanimously approved the recommendation of the Parks Commission and granted permission to Redlands Baseball for Youth to post advertising signs on the fences on the baseball fields at Community Park during their sponsored baseball and softball games Agreement - Right -Of -Way Acquisition - On motion of Councilmember Gil, seconded by Councilmember Gilbreath, the City Council unanimously approved an agreement with Dill Lumber Company regarding the purchase Alabama Street right-of-way for the Redlands Boulevard, Alabama Street and Colton Avenue Improvement Project and authorized the Mayor to execute, and the City Clerk to attest to, the document on behalf of the City Release of Lien - On motion of Councilmember Gil, seconded by Councilmember Gilbreath, the City Council unanimously authorized the release of the lien agreement dated February 26, 1992, for off-site improvements at the northeast corner of Barton Road and Iowa Street Amendment - Redlands Sports Park - On motion of Councilmember Gil, seconded by Councilmember Gilbreath, the City Council unanimously approved an amendment to the Hicks and Hartwick, Inc contract to provide construction surveying and engineering services for the Redlands Sports Park lighting and landscaping contracts for a fee not to exceed $5,000 00 and authorized the Mayor to execute, and the City Clerk to attest to, the document on behalf of the City January 2, 2007 Page 3
