SUBJECT: EXTENSION OF CONTRACF W'IT11 GLRALD HANSON
MOTION:
I move to extend the contract with Gerald Hanson for cable television consultant services to
March 31, 1997.
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended the City Council extend the contract for cable television consulting services
with Gerald Hanson until March 31, 1997.
DISCUSSION:
Last August,the City Council authorized a contract between the City of Redlands and Gerald
Hanson for consulting work relating to the City's negotiations with TCI Cablevision, Inc. for
its franchise renewal. The contract was extended by the City Council on September 17, 1996
to December 31, 1996. Mr. Hanson is assisting the City Attorney with the on-going
negotiations with TCI Cablevision. Mr. Hanson has also been very helpful in resolving cable
television complaints received from Redlands' residents.
