Your proposal of recent date to do the necessary grading and paving on Olive Avenue, between Cajon Street and Railroad Avenue, in the City of Redlanc'e, at the rate of five and one-half (5i) cents per equare _ foot, is hereby accepted subject to the following conditions: You hereby agree to furnish the riaterials, equipment and labor to place the 9 foot strip formerly occupied by our tracks at the grade of the balance of the street; and to furnish and apply oil and rock screenings and do the necessary rolling, completing the job in a thorough and workmanlike man- ner to the full satisfaction of the street superintendent of the City of Redlands and the Chief Engineer of the Pacific Electric Railway Company, or his representative. You hereby guarantee to hold Pacific Electric Railway Company free and harmless from any and all liability and loss and damage on account of personal injuries to or death of yourself, employees and equipment, and for personal injuries or death of any person or persons whatsoever, and damages to property of others arising out of or resulting from said work. If this meets with your approval will you please so indicate in the space provided Below, returning all copies to see for signature and further handling.
