day of May, 1923, by and between -J. J. Miles, party of the
first part and the City of Redlands, a municipal corporation,
party of the second part,
WITNESSETH: The party of the first part agrees to
furnish all labor and material for the installation of plumb-
ing at the municipal swimming pool on Sylvan Boulevard ac-
cording to plans and specifications therefor on file in the
office of the City Engineer of said city, and do all work
specified in the attached bid, submitted to said city there -
f or`.
All of said work shall be done in first class con-
dition and according to plumbing rules and regulations now
in force in said city, and when finished be satisfactory to
and accepted by the city engineer of said city.
It is agreed that said city shall not be liable
for any injury that may result to any workman employed upon
said work nor to said first part and that any liability re-
sulting therefrom shall be borne solely by first party, if

Said city further agrees on its part to pay said
first party the sum of $590.00 (Five Hundred ninety Dollars)
for all of said work complete when the same has been accepted
by the city engineer for said city.
