I TO THE JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS AGREEMENT CREATING AN AGENCY TO BE KNOWN AS THE SAN BERNARDINO REGIONAL AIRPORT AUTHORITY WHEREAS, the City of Redlands ("City") is a municipal corporation, duly created and existing pursuant to the Constitution and the laws of the State of California; and WHEREAS, the City is a member of the San Bernardino Regional Airport Authority ("Authority") which is a joint powers authority formed by the legislative bodies of its members pursuant to a certain agreement entitled "Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement Creating an Agency to be Known as the San Bernardino Regional Airport Authority" ("Agreement") in accordance with Section 6500 et seg. , of the California Government Code; and WHEREAS, the Authority was created primarily for the purposes of acquiring, operating, repairing, maintaining and administering the aviation related portions of the Norton Air Force Base as a public airport; and WHEREAS, the City deems it appropriate to change the name of the Authority to The San Bernardino International Airport Authority, and the name of the Commission of the Authority to the San Bernardino International Airport Authority Commission for marketing purposes; and WHEREAS, the City at this time deems it appropriate to authorize the preparation of a composite "First Amended Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement Creating an Agency to be Known as The San Bernardino International Airport Authority" (the "First Amended Agreement") and to approve Amendment No. I to the Agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit "All and incorporated herein by this reference; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED by the City Council of the City of Redlands as follows: SECTION 1. The City Council hereby authorizes the preparation of a composite First Amended Agreement and approves Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement, as attaChed hereto as Exhibit "All with any such non-substantive changes as may be approved by the Mayor and City Attorney. SECTION 2 . The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement and the First Amended Agreement on behalf of the City and take all such ether action as may be necessary in order to implement the provisions of the Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement. SECTION :3 . This resolution shall take effect upon its adoption.
