COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve a lease agreement with the City of Redlands for a nutrition center for seniors at 111 W.
Lugonia Avenue, Redlands.
BACKGROUND: On April 5, 1995, the Community Services Department requested that.
Real Estate Services Department negotiate a five-year lease agreement with the City of
Redlands for a motion program for senior citizens in the Redlands area. A lease agreement
was negotiated which will provide exclusive use of 1,320 square feet and 2,058 square feet of
non-exclusive use(multi-purpose room) at 111 W. Lugonia Avenue in Redlands.
REASON FOR RECOMMENDATION: Board approval is required to execute a lease
agreement_
REVIEW BY OTHERS: This agreement has been reviewed by the Community Services
Department and by Risk Management; and approved as to legal form by Deputy County
Counsel Rex FEnesley on May 17, 1995.
FINANCIAL: The fined rental amount of$800 per month for the entire term will be paid
directly from the Community Services Department's Fiscal Year 1995-96 Budget.

IT IS HEREBY AGREED AS FOLLOWS:
(Use space below and additional bond sheers. Set forth service to be rendered,amount to be paid,manner ofpayment,time for performance or completion, determination of satisfactory
performance and cause for termination,other terms and conditions,and attach plans,specifications,and addenda,if any.)
WHEREAS, the CITY and COUNTY have previously entered into a Lease Agreement, Contract No. 95-
394, wherein CITY agreed to lease certain real property to COUNTY, and;
- WHEREAS, the COUNTY desires to exercise its second one-year option to extend the term at the same
rent.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of mutual covenants and conditions, the parties hereto agree the
Lease Agreement, Contract No. 95-3)94, is amended as follows:
I. The term of the lease is extended from July 1, 2001 to June 30, 2002
2. ADD to the rental schedule of Paragraph 4, RENT, the following:
July 1, 2001 thru.June 30, 2002 - twelve (12) monthly payments of$825.00.

3. All other portions of the Lease Agreement, Contract No. 95-394, as previously amended, shall
remain the same.
