Retroreflectometer Loan-Borrow Agreement
Whereas City of Redlands (herein after"Borrowing Agency") desires to
borrow equipment as specified below from California State University, Sacramento,College of
Continuing Education"CCE,"the following is agreed between the parties.
1. Borrowing Agency desires to borrow the retroreflectometer and associated equipment,
which come together in a custom carrying case,from CCE for a loan period from
February 3, 2014 to February 14, 2014
2. Borrowing Agency agrees to retrieve and return the retroreflectometer from the California
State University,San Marcos (CSUSM) location at 333 S.Twin Oaks Valley Road,San
Marcos,CA 92096,as indicated by CCE.
3. The retroreflectometer and all accessories are the property of CCE.The borrowing agency
is fully responsible for the good care and safe return of the retroreflectometer and all
accessories,including the carrying case.
4. The borrowing agency agrees to store the retroreflectometer and accessories in a secure,
locked location at all times when the equipment is not in use. The borrowing agency may
not loan or transfer the retroreflectometer or accessories to any other person or agency.
S. CCE has insured subject equipment for its replacement value,and the policy of insurance
carries a deductible of$1,000.00 (hereinafter"replacement value"). The borrowing
agency agrees to be responsible for repairs to the retroreflectometer and any of its
accessories which become necessary due to negligence or excessive use during the loan
period,up to the amount of the replacement value.
6. The borrowing agency further agrees to reimburse CCE for the insurance deductible of
$1,000.00 if the retroreflectometer or accessories are damaged,lost,stolen,or not
returned.
7. The borrowing agency agrees to reimburse CCE for the full value of the retroreflectometer
or any accessories that are not returned with the retroreflectometer.
B. The borrowing agency agrees to contact CCE immediately if the retroreflectometer or any
of its accessories are damaged,missing or stolen. Photo documentation of forced entry to
a locked location is required. A police report mightalso be required.
