HomeMy WebLinkAbout8086RESOLUTION NO 8086 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS APPROVING AMENDMENT NO 3 TO SPECIFIC PLAN NO 26 TO ALLOW FAST FOOD RESTAURANTS WITH DRIVE-THROUGH SERVICE AS A CONDITIONALLY PERMITTED USE WITHIN THE BROOKSIDE PLAZA SHOPPING CENTER WHEREAS, Amor Arclutectuial Corpoiation ("Applicant") has submitted an apphcation to amend Specific Plan No 26 to include fast food restaurants with drive-duough service as a conditionally permitted use, and WHEREAS, on or about April 3, 2020, notice ofthe Planning Commission's public hearing for Amendment No 3 to Specific Plan No 26 was published in the Redlands Daily Facts, and WHEREAS, on April 14, 2020, the Planing Coininission held a public hearing and considei ed the staffs eport, oral i eport, and the testimony and the written evidence submitted by and on behalf of the apphcant and by members of the public and recommended approval to the City Council, and WHEREAS, on or about May 8, 2020, notice of the City Council's public hearing for Amendment No 3 to Specific Plan No 26 was published in the Redlands Daily Facts, and WHEREAS, on May 19, 2020, the City Council held a public hearing and considered the staff report, oral report, and the testimony and the written evidence submitted by and on behalf of the apphcant and by members ofthe pubhc, and WHEREAS, following the hearing for Amendment No 3 to Specific Plan No 26, the City Council determined that approval of the requested Amendment is in the best interests of the public health, safety and general welfare, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AS FOLLOWS Section 1. Finding of Consistency with the General Plan.
