HomeMy WebLinkAboutContracts & Agreements_41-1999_CCv0001.pdf Memorandum of Understanding between j The City of Redlands Police Department and The Housing Authority of the County Of San Bernardino L The purpose of this Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Redlands Police Department and the Housing Authority of the County of San Bernardino is to specify the way these organizations will collaborate in providing programs and services in accordance with the Public Housing Drug Elimination Funds Grant during the period of May 1999 through September 2000, II. The City of Redlands Police Department shall: a. Provide recreation employees to organize and implement recreational activities, including sports, games and physical fitness at the Brockton Ave. and Texas St., and Lugonia Ave. and Sixth St. Housing Authority sites. The date, time and frequency of recreation programs shall be decided jointly by the City of Redlands Recreation Superintendent and the Housing Authority's Redlands Supervisor. b. Provide recreation and sports equipment for use by participants in the recreation program. c. Provide positive role models and mentors for youth participants. d. Provide overtime selective enforcement patrols in, and around, Housing Authority Properties by uniformed Redlands Police Officers during those times periodically subject to incidents of increased criminal activity. Patrol schedules shall be jointly agreed upon by the Housing Authority Redlands Supervisor and the Field Services Division Commander. Enforcement efforts shall include the use of foot, motor vehicle and bicycle patrols. e. Provide reports and records as necessary to meet the requirements of the grant. f Adhere to all rules as they apply to Housing Authority facilities and properties use. III The Housing Authority of San Bernardino County shall: a. Provide the Redlands Police Department with $42,000 during the period May 1999 through September 2000 to fund recreation personnel, equipment and overtime uniformed patrols. Payment shall be made in the form of a reimbursement for submitted expenses by the police department. b. Serve as the fiscal agent for the Public Housing Drug Elimination Funds Grant C, Allow use of their facilities to accommodate program activities.
