Councilmember Larsen moved to submit Ordinance No. 1863 to the Planning Commission for its review with the information that the City Council is considering deletion of the limitation added by the City Council in Section 4. Motion seconded by Councilmember Wormser and carried unanimously. NEW BUSINESS Appointments Councilmember Larsen moved to reappoint Paul Gerrard and Don Crook to three year terms on the Redevelopment Advisory Commission beginning January 17, 1986. Motion seconded by Councilmember Wormser and carried unanimously. Appointment Councilmember Larsen moved to reappoint Donald L. Singer to a four year term on the Personnel Advisory Board begi nning January 15, 1086 . Motion seconded by Council - member Johnson and carried unanimously. iFunds On motion of Councilmember Johnson, seconded by Council - member DeMirjyn, Council unanimously authorized the Park sand purchase of a 9.75 acre parcel located on the south side r Purchase of San Bernardino Avenue, east of Judson Street (Assessor's Parcel Nos. 168-121-03 and 04) for $230.000. using park tax monies. This property is adjacent to a city -owned citrus grove and will make a total 18.78 acres of park land at that location. Resolution Resolution No. 4144, a resolution of the City Council No. 4144 of the City of Redlands establishing a passenger loading zone in front of 616 Brookside Avenue; establishing 24 Traffic minute parking in front of 287 Tennessee Street; direc- Regulat:i.oas ting the installation of stop signs for riorth and south - bound traffic on Seventh Street at Stuart Avenue; establishing a bus loading zone at Clement Junior High School; and establishing a no parking zone in front of 620 Tennessee Street, was unanimously adopted on motion of Councilmember Larsen, seconded by Councilmember Johnson. Employment Councilmember Larsen moved to table action on a one-year Contract employment contract for the Town Center Manager in order to discuss this in a closed personnel session at their next meeting on January 21, 1986. Councilmember DeMirjyn seconded the motion which carried unanimously. January 7, 1986 Page nine - Resolution Resolution No. 4142, a resolution of the City Council No. 4142 of the City of Redlands supporting the Regional California Identification Program now in the planning California stages for both Riverside and San Bernardino Counties, ID Program was unanimously adopted on motion of Councilmember Larsen, seconded by Councilmember Johnson. Resolution Resolution No. 4143, a resolution of the City Council No. 4143 of the City of Redlands supporting funding by the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors for a three year County development program to improve the County's scientific Investiga- investigation services, was unanimously approved on tion motion of Councilmember Larsen, seconded by Councilmember Services Johnson. Public Works Director Donnelly reported his department Contract requested proposals from various consulting engineers to prepare plans and specifications for improvements at Street and the intersection of Colton Avenue and Tennessee Street Signal and recommends awarding the contract to Hicks and Improvements Hartwick, Inc., Redlands. Councilmember Larsen moved to approve a consulting contract for design of street and signal improvements at Colton Avenue and Tennessee Street to Hicks and Hartwick, Inc. and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to sign on behalf of the City. Motion seconded by Councilmember Johnson and carried unanimously. Property Councilmember Larsen moved to authorize the purchase of Acquisition Assessor's Parcel No. 173-191-11 consisting of approxi- mately 31,000 square feet with primary footage along Fire Cypress Avenue for a proposed fire station site. Motion Station seconded by Councilmember Johnson and carried unanimously. Claim On motion of Councilmember Larsen, seconded by Council - member Johnson, the claim of the Automobile Club of Southern California in an amount of $1,542.10 was unani- mously found not to be a proper charge against the City and therefore rejected. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 9:45 P.M. to an adjourned regular meeting to be held on Saturday, January 18, 1986, at 9:00 A.M. in the Joslyn Senior Center, 21 Grant Street.
