The City of Redlands is pleased to submit the attached grant application for funding. Please note
the following in review of our application:
• The City Council of the City of Redlands approved the proposed project at a
regular City Council Meeting on July 18, 2006.
• The project involves the purchase of four LNG heavy trucks to replace Solid
Waste collection vehicles.
• City funding for the matching component is derived from enterprise funds or rate
payer solid waste fees contained within the Solid Waste Operating Budget.

Subject: Statement of Self-insurance
Dear MSRC Contracts Administrator.
This is to certify that the City of Redlands is self-insured for both public entity liability and worker's
compensation. The City's SIR is $500,000 with an excess
Policy having a $10,000,000 limit. The
Policy period is 07/01/06-07/01/07, and at the time of a funding award the City will provide South
Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) with a certificate naming SCAQMD as additional
insured. The worker's compensation SIR is $1,000,000 and meets all State of California
requirements. The excess policy period is 01/01/06 - 01,/01/07 and proof of coverage will be
provided to SCAQMD at the time of a funding award. The City of Redlands agrees to provide the
SCAQMD with thirty(30)day prior written notice of any changes in this program.
