This agreement will be in effect for FY 90-91, and addreSWS only archaeological resources. Information fur historic structures must be acquired directly from the City of Redlands Historic and Scenic PreSWvation Commission. The Canter will prepare archaeological resource sensitivity maps for use by the Planning Department. These maps will be baS2d upon eyisting data presently held by the Center and Planning Department, and will consist of mylar overlays for USGS maps provided by the Center at a cost not to exceed $750.00. Because archaeological resourceS are nonrenewable and fragile, and 6ecause their scientific and aesthetic values are significantly reduced by disturbance, precise locations of these resources will be retained by the Center . Dissemination of locational information can only be mads to owners, owners' representatives and qualified professional archaeologists on a confidential need-to-know basis. This policy has been established by the State Office of Historic Preservation to prevent vandalism and artifact hunting, and to protect landowners from trespass by ppoPle desiring access to sites. As new information for cultural resources is presentad to the Center, and as sensitive areas are investigated, revised sensitivity maps will be issued by the Center to the Planning Department for a maximum of no more than one revision annually' at a cost not to exceed $200.00 per revision.
