/.00W' Memorandum of Understanding
San Bernardino Community College District on behalf of San Bernardino Valley College working
with City of Redlands mutually agrees to enhance and align the Career Technical Education
programs to meet the needs of the municipal governments industries and employment
Student Work Experience and Cooperatives encompass a broad spectrum of experiential education that
includes
• Academic and career-related work experience that can be paid or non-paid, part-time or full time and
coincide with the Fall, Spring or Summer academic terms,
• Supervised professional or practical and intellectual components along with a specific outline for
instructional purpose within the scope of delegated outcomes,
• A method for supervising and evaluating work experience, job duties, future openings and expanding
the relationship between your Organization and our College
Industry and education cooperatives provide a learning and advisory environment where all parties can
discuss and negotiate the future of industrial technology, business strategies and educating the
workforce Its mission is to create an interactive dialogue to encourage the community in reaching out
to obtain the skills needed to compete in an ever-changing workforce
In forming these industry cooperatives, we are endeavoring to
• Encourage company and college collaboration in an advisory capability, to convey new
technology and business projections to assist in the community's educational development
and providing students with on-site tours of City of Redlands sites
• Achieve commonalities of goals both in assisting the college with technical training and
educating the organizations workforce
• Serving in a consultative capacity to endorse and convey the mission of San Bernardino
Valley College and to promote the missions of both organizations
This agreement commences on June 1, 2020 and will expire on May 31, 2025 or is cancelled by either
party in writing with a thirty (30)-calendar day notice
