State of California
To All to whom these Presents shall come, Greeting:
WHEREAS, Under the provisions of an Act of the Congress of the United States, entitled "An act to provide for
the survey of the public lands in California, the granting of preemption rights therein, and for other purposes," approved
March third, eighteen hundred and fifty-three, there was granted to the State of California, the sixteenth and thirty-sixth
sections of each township in said State and lands selected in lieu thereof under the provisions of said Act and also under the
provisions of subsequent Acts of said Congress of the United States; and whereas, the Legislature of the State of California
has provided for the sale and conveyance of said lands by statutes enacted from time to time; and whereas, it appears by the
certificate of Rufus W. Putnam, Executive Officer of the State Lands Commission
No. 19911 , issued in accordance with the provisions of law, bearing date the— 19th -- day of
July , 1956 , that the tracts of land hereinafter described have been duly and properly located
in accordance with law, that the laws in relation thereto have been complied with, that payment in full has been made, and
that CITY OF REDLA.NDS
is entitled to receive a patent therefor;
Now, THEREFORE., The State of California hereby grants to the said
CITY OF REDLAl11DS
the said tracts of land located as aforesaid, and which are known and described as follows, to wit:
�-'The southwest quarter of the northwest quarter of Section fourteen (14), Township
one (1) south, Range three (3) west, San Bernardino Meridian, reserving to the State
of California all oil, gas, oil shale, coal, phosphate, sodium., gold, silver, and all
other mineral deposits contained in said land, and further reserving to the State of
California, and persons authorized by the State, the right to drill for and extract
such deposits of oil and gas, or gas, and to prospect for, mine, and remove such
deposits of other minerals from said land, and to occupy and use so mach of the sur-
face of said land as may be required therefor, upon compliance with the conditions and
subject to the provisions and limitations of Chapter j, Part I, Division 6 of the
Public Resources Code, and further reserving in the people the absolute right to fish
thereupon as provided by Section 25 of Article I of the Constitution of the State of
California, nia,

by the Chief, Patents Section, Bureau of Land Management, June 7, 1956, subject to valid
rights existing at date of selection; but excepting and reserving to the United States
rights -of -way over, and across the land for ditches and canals constructed by the
authority of the United States, as directed and required by the Act of Congress
August 30, 1890 (26 Stat. 391),)

RESOWTION CORCERNING GRANT CF WND FROM TIE STATE &I CALIFUWIA.
RESCIWED by the City Council of the City of Redlands, California, that it
has received the grant from the State of California of the tract of land as hereinafter
described:
The soutiruest quarter of the nor-t1west quarter af Section fourteen (14).,
Township one (1) south, Range three (3) west$ San Eernardino Nweridian,
reserving to the State W California all oil, gas, oil shale, coal, phos-
phate, sodium, gold., silver, and all other mineral deposits containgd in
said land, and further reserving to the State of California, and persons
authorized by the State, the right to drill for and extract such deposits
of oil and gas, or gas, and to prospect for, mine, and ramDve 5Ach de-
posits of other minerals from said land, and to occupy and use so much of
the surface of said land an may be required therefor, upon compliance
with the conditions and subject to the provisions and limitations of
Chapter 5, Part 1, Division 6 of the Pablic Resources Code, and further
reserving in the people the absolute right to fish thereupon as pro-
vided by Section 25W of Article 1 of the Constitution of the State of
California.
