A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
APPROVING A ONE-YEAR EXTENSION TO THE EXPIRATION DATE FOR
COMMISSION REVIEW AND APPROVAL NO 898
WHEREAS, Mr. George I{rikorian has submitted an application for a one year extension of
time for Commission Review and Approval No. 898 for the construction of a 10,000 square -foot
multiple -tenant retail building and a 5,200 square -foot bank/retail building located at 333 Orange
Street (APNs: 0169-281-46-0000, 0169-281 51-0000, 0169-281 52-0000, 0169-281 53-0000); and
WHEREAS, on August 14, 2018, the Planning Commission held a public hearing, adopted
Resolution No. 1400, approving Commission Review and Approval No. 898 and the Socio -
Economic Cost Benefit Study for the project; and
WHEREAS, on September 1 2020, the City Council held a hearing and considered the staff
report, oral report, the testimony and the written evidence submitted by and on behalf of the
applicant and by members of the public; and
WHEREAS, following the hearing for the extension of time for Commission Review and
Approval No. 898, the City Council determined that approval of the requested one-year extension of
time is in the best interests of the public health, safety and general welfare;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDLANDS AS FOLLOWS.
Section 1. California Environmental Quality Act. Approval of the time extension request
is exempt from further environmental review pursuant to section 15162 of the State Guidelines
implementing the California Environmental Quality Act.
Section 2. Approval of Time Extension. The time extension request is hereby approved
in accordance with Redlands Municipal Code section 18.12.130.
Section 3. Expiration Date. The new expiration date for Commission Review and
Approval No. 898 shall be August 14, 2021 and the project shall remain subject to all original
conditions of approval contained in Planning Commission Resolution No. 1400.
Section 4. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
