A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
APPROVING A SECOND ONE-YEAR EXTENSION TO THE EXPIRATION
DATE FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO 1045
WHEREAS, Redlands Supportive Housing, L.P has submitted an application for a one-year
extension of time for Conditional Use Permit No. 1045 for the construction of an eighty (80) unit
affordable apartment complex located at the southwest corner of Texas Street and Lugonia Avenue
(APN 0169-021 19-0000); and
WHEREAS, on September 19 2017 the City Council held a public hearing and subsequently
adopted a Mitigated Negative Declaration and Resolution No. 7709 approving Conditional Use
Permit No. 1045• and
WHEREAS, on September 17 2019 the City Council adopted Resolution No. 8027
approving a one-year extension of time for Conditional Use Permit No. 1045, and extending the
expiration date to September 19 2020; and
WHEREAS, on September 1, 2020, the City Council held a hearing and considered the staff
report, the testimony and the written evidence submitted by and on behalf of the applicant and by
members of the public; and
WHEREAS, following the hearing for the extension of time for Conditional Use Permit No.
1045, the City Council determined that approval of the requested one-year extension of time is in the
best interests of the public health, safety and general welfare;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDLANDS AS FOLLOWS
Section 1. California Environmental Quality Act. Approval this Resolution is exempt
from further environmental review pursuant to section 15162 of the State Guidelines implementing
the Califomia Environmental Quality Act.
Section 2. Approval of Time Extension. The time extension request is hereby approved
in accordance with Redlands Municipal Code section 18.192.090.
Section 3. Expiration Date. The new expiration date for Conditional Use Permit No.
1045 shall be September 19 2021 and the project shall remain subject to all original conditions of
approval contained in City Council Resolution No. 7709
Section 4. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
