Best Friends Animal Society and Redlands Animal Shelter
Best Friends Animal Society feels privileged to help save lives by working with No More Homeless Pets Network partners
by providing financial assistance for specific projects. This document is to clarify in writing the roles that the
organizations agree to upon receipt of this one-time financial assistance project grant.
Best Friends Animal Society will:
• Provide Redlands Animal Shelter with a one-time financial assistance Grant of$ 1500 following the return of
signed agreements by the recipient.
Redlands Animal Shelter will:
• Apply the funds to the specific needs outlined below:
Adoption subsidy for 50 animals, $30 each, to be completed by July 31,2015
• Submit a report to Best Friends Animal Society monthly upon request outlining the use of the funds until all
funds have been spent, including an itemized accounting of how funds were used, the number of cat or dogs
positively impacted and examples of grant successes.
• Agree to submit comprehensive reports in intake and outcome data as requested by Best Friends.
• In working with animals being helped by these grant funds,
✓ Agree to spay or neuter, prior to adoption, and provide necessary medical care to animals taken into
care via grant funds.
✓ Ensure no animal in the care, custody, or control of organization is bred or used for breeding purposes.
✓ Provide appropriate daily care to all animals under the care of the organization, including animals in
foster homes or at other offsite locations.This includes, but is not limited to: sanitary living conditions,
food,water, and shelter.
✓ Place animals taken into care via grant funds into homes deemed appropriate by the group through
their adoption processes.
All involved:
• Each group is free to publicize their very important roles in this project
with the inclusion of their rescue partners. Use of Best Friends logo or other brands must be pre-approved.
By signing below, each party acknowledges and agrees to the terms in this memorandum of understanding.
