Limited Consent to Use and Reproduce Landlord Training Program Materials
The intent of this agreement to grant licensees sufficiently broad rights to make reasonable use of the materials described here
for local training needs while restricting the distribution of unapproved or inappropriately adapted materials, Campbell
DeLong Resources, Inc. (CDR]) is committedto making reasonable attempts to ensure that licensees may use these materials
for legitimate local purposes. Therefore, licensees who believe they have a desired use that falls outside those permitted by this
agreement are encouraged to contact CDRI to discuss the issue and receive prompt consideration of such requests,

adapted form by local agencies in various states. Some of those "derivative works" afire approved by CDRI for
further within-the-same-state adaptation, conditional on compliance with the terms of this agreement. Subject to
your compliance with the terms of this agreement, and to your also obtaining the consent of the publisher of
the CDRI-approved derivative wor , you are granted �Irntte�t irermission to use and reproduce the following
approved adapted Manual(s).
The Landlord Training Program "PowerPoint" participant slides, O 1993-2006, are part of the materials included
with any of the above manuals, Any unauthorized use of the materials is strictly prohibited, as is any violation of
the Conditions of Use which are shown on the reverse and included by reference into this agreement.

to the materials is owned by Campbell DeLong Resources,Inc.,with the City of Portland sharing ownership rights of some portions of the
material developed between 1989 and 1992. CDRI has been authorized by the City of Portland to manage all licensing requests for those
portions of the materials in which the City of Portland has a copyright interest.
Conditions of Use
1) Subject to your complying with all terms of this agreement, the version(s) of the Landlord Training
Program materials shown on the reverse side of this form may be used as is or modified and adapted to address
the laws and circumstances of your jurisdiction.
2) General conditions for reproduction and distribution:
a) You may not adapt, distribute, reproduce or otherwise use any version or adaptation of the National
Landlord Training Program Manual other than those indicated on the reverse side of this page. Other
versions,prior editions and previous adaptations of the manual may not be used in any manner absent special
permission.
b) The materials may be reproduced for the licensee's use only. You may provide a sample copy of the
materials to other persons or agencies, but you may not give any other person or agency permission to
reproduce any of the materials.
c) Any version or adaptation of the Landlord Training Program Manual (other than the National Landlord
Training Program Manual, 4th Edition) indicated on the reverse may be used and distributed only within the
same state as originally published by the publishing agency,absent special permission.
d) You may not provide the materials in any electronic format (e.g,, without limitation: computer disk,
transmission by modem, website, Internet bulletin board, etc.) to any person outside your agency, absent
special permission from CDRI. (See point 6 below for information about"PDF posting.)
e) The materials may be sold for your direct cost of printing and distribution,but may not be sold for a profit,

in its entirety and separately from any other materials, may be made without need to comply with Item 4 of
these conditions.
4) If you choose to adapt,edit,excerpt,or otherwise modify the manual,including modification of the text or
preparation of supplemental materials to be bound with the manual,you agree:
a) To provide Campbell DeLong Resources, Inc. with a statement by your attorney that he or she has
reviewed these Conditions of Use with you.
b) To employ due diligence and care in adapting the manual, including ensuring that, prior to any
distribution, the adapted manual is reviewed by an attorney knowledgeable in landlord-tenant law in your
jurisdiction.
c) To provide Campbell DeLong Resources, Inc., prior to any distribution, a copy of any adapted or
supplemented version of the manual.
d) To place the following statement,in plainly readable type,on the cover of any adapted manual:

7) Accuracy of modifications. CDRI assumes no responsibility for the accuracy of your modifications to the
Landlord Training Progran, materials or for the accuracy of any modifications made by other agencies who have
developed manuals approved by CDRI for further within-the-same-state adaptation.
8) Consent to reproduce the materials may be withdrawn by written notice at any time if the licensee has
failed to comply with these Conditions of Use.
