RESOLUTION NO 7143 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR PROPOSED GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT NO 128 WHEREAS, in accordance with Government Code section 65855, the Planning Commission of the City of Redlands has reviewed an application filed by Howard industrial Partners to change the General Plan land use designation from Agriculture/City Grove to Commercial/Industrial for four (4) contiguous parcels of land totaling approximately 37 4 acres (the "Project") located north of Palmetto Avenue and west of California Street desi ..• as Assessor's Parcel Nos 0292-44-09, 10, 11 and 12, and to amend Figure 5 1 (Traffic network) of the Circulation Element of the General Plan to change the designation of a portion of Palmetto Avenue, between Califorma and Nevada Streets, from a major artenal to a collector street ("General Plan Amendment No 128"), and WHEREAS, on March 13, 2012, the Planning Commission held a noticed public hearing on General Plan Amendment No 128 and considered the verbal and wntten testimony of City staff, the applicant for the proposed General Plan amendment, and testimony from members of the public; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended to the City Council that General Plan Amendment No 128 be approved, and WHEREAS, on March 28, 2012, notice of this City Council's public hearing for General Plan Amendment No 128 was duly published in the Redlands Daily Facts by the Redlands City Clerk, and WHEREAS, on Apnl 17, 2012, the City Council held a public hearing and considered the staff written and oral reports, the recommendation of the Planning Commission, the testimony and written evidence submitted by and on behalf of the applicant, and testimony by members of the public, and WHEREAS, following the public hearing on General Plan Amendment No 128, the City Council determined that approval of the request for the General Plan amendment is in the best interests of the public health, safety and general welfare, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of City of Redlands as follows Section 1 General Plan Amendment No 128 is hereby approved to change the General Plan land use designation from Agnculture/City Grove to Commercial/Industnal for four (4) contiguous parcels of land totaling approximately 37.4 acres (the "Project") located north of Palmetto Avenue and west of California Street desi ed as Assessor's Parcel Nos 0292-44-09, 10, 11 and 12 as shown on Exhibit "A," and to amend Figure 5 1 (T .
