4. CANCELLATION, The ere of this contract shall be a period of

6 5. INFORMATION SERVICES. Subscriber-Controller agrees to
7 furnish the User Agency access to such crimInal offender
record information and other criminal justice information as

9F= is made available from the state through the CIETS network.
E2V!KfNN1. Subscriber-Controller shall assist in the
H selection of the equipment for, provide, maintain, operate
12 and manage an electronic data communications system in the
She 's Communication Control Center in order to provide

the services specified in this agreement. Subscriber-

QController shall provide to the User Agency aereptable

terminal devices and required communication lines to connect

18 7. Eighty percent (80%) of the basic installation of this ser%A-c4
vill be assumed by the County (Subscriber-Controller) and the

(User Agency) . The total cost of additional services, equip-1

Subscriber-Controller reserves the right to immedlately

suspend access to any information provided for in this agree-
tMealt tic the User Agency when any rule, policy or proceilare

adapted by Subscriber-Controller, or approved by the NCIC
7 Q advisory board and adopted by NCIC or a law of this county,
8 H state, or federal government applicable to the aocurity and
privacy of information is violated or appears to be violated.
10 Subscriber-Controller may reinstate the furnishing of such
11 infformation upon receipt of satisfactory assurances that such I
12 violation did not occur or was corrected.
13 2. The User Agency agrees to appoint a security and privacy
14 officer who shall be responsible for all security and privacy 1
15 considerations relating to the use of the User Agency
16 Subscriber-Controller terminal or termInals. This security i
17 and privacy officer shall be the liaison point for Sud scriber
18 Controller regarding security and privacy matters.

Acting on the recommendation of the Law -
tor, on motion by Supervisor Townsend, duly seconded by Supervisor
Smith and carried, the Board of Supervisors hereby approves Agreement
475-884 between the County aad they C . y of Redlands Polices Depart-
ment,
epart_men , for use of the Sheriff' s Department California Law Enforcement
Telecommunications System maintained by that department; further, the
Board authorizes the Chairman to sign said agreement indicating this
Board' s approval of they terms and conditions therein contained.
