A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
APPROVING AN ALLOCATION AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF
SAN BERNARDINO FOR RECEIPT OF CARES ACT CORONAVIRUS
RELIEF FUNDING AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER/DIRECTOR
OF EMERGENCY SERVICES, OR THE CITY MANAGER'S DESIGNEE, TO
EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the city of Redlands ("City") is eligible to receive an allocation of CARES
Act Coronavirus Relief Funding ("Fund") through the county of San Bernardino ("County"), and
WHEREAS, on September 29, 2020, the Board of Supervisors for the County approved a
transfer from the Fund in an amount not -to -exceed eight hundred seventy six thousand fifty four
dollars ($876,054) to support the City's response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and
WHEREAS, the County desires to transfer to the City, and the City desires to accept the
amount of Fund dollars transferred by the County, to provide COVID-19 emergency response to
the residents of the City and County, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands desires to apply for receipt of its
direct allocation from the County, and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to delegate authorization to execute an allocation
agreements and other necessary and related documents with the County in order for the City to
receive its allocation of the Fund, and
WHEREAS, approval of an allocation agreement, and other necessary and related
documents associated with such funding, is not subject to environmental review in accordance
with Section 15061(b)(3) of the State's Guidelines implementing the California Environmental
Quality Act,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF REDLANDS AS FOLLOWS
Section 1 The City Council hereby approves the allocation agreement with the
county of San Bernardino for the City's allocation of Coronavirus Relief Funding, and authonzes
the City Manager/Director of Emergency Services, or the City Manager's designee, to execute
the allocation agreement and other necessary and related documents associated with such
funding
