HomeMy WebLinkAbout8143RESOLUTION NO 8143 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS TO ESTABLISH AN FOUR-WAY STOP INTERSECTION AT PINE AVENUE AND NEW YORK STREET PURSUANT TO TITLE 10 OF THE REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE WHEREAS, pursuant to studies made under the authority of Title 10 of the Redlands Municipal Code, and the presentation of information contained in such studies, the City Council of the City of Redlands ("this City Council") has determined that certain traffic regulations are necessary to protect the public health, safety and welfare and should be established pursuant to Title 10 of the Redlands Municipal Code, and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this City Council to replace the existing two-way stop intersection with installation of a four-way stop intersection at Pine Avenue and New York Street, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AS FOLLOWS Section 1 This City Council determines that approval of this Resolution is exempt from environmental review under California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA") pursuant to State CEQA Guidelines section 15301(c) which provides an exemption for minor alterations of existing public streets and sidewalks This City Council finds that installation for two stop signs to implement this resolution involves negligible or no expansion of an existing use Section 2 Pursuant to Section 10 36 010 of the Redlands Municipal Code, this City Council hereby establishes the installation of a four-way stop intersection at Pine Avenue and New York Street, and this City Council hereby directs City staff to promptly place such stop signs and such location in accordance with Section 10 36 630 of the Redlands Municipal Code to implement this Resolution ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 17th day of November, 2020 ATTEST ne Donaldson, City Clerk Paul W Foster, Mayor 1 I \Resolutions\Res 8100-819918143 Establishing Traffic Regulations Pine Ave and New York St_ docx I, Jeanne Donaldson, City Clerk of the City of Redlands, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting thereof held on the 17th day of November, 2020, by the following vote AYES Councilmembers Barlch, Tejeda, Momberger, Davis, Mayor Foster NOES None ABSENT None ABSTAINED None e Donaldson, City Clerk 2 1 \Resolutions\Res 8100 8199\8143 Establishing Traffic Regulations - Pine Ave and New York St_.docx
