A RESOLU CION Of i HF CITY COUNCIL OF 1 HE CITY OF REDLANDS GIVING
PRELIMINARY APPROVAL OF ENGINEER'S REPOR 1 FOR FISCAL
YEAR 2008-2009 FOR LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRIC 1 NO 1
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands ("this City Council') has
heretofore determined that the public interest, convenience and necessity required the
maintenance and landscape and irrigation facilities, set forth in Section 22525 of the Streets and
Highways Code, within the incorporated boundaries of the City of Redlands, and
WHEREAS, Richard L Kopecky of Willdan Financial Services has been appointed
`Assessment Engineer' with all provisions of Part 2 of Division 15 of the Streets and Highways
Code applicable to the Engineei being applied to the "Assessment Engmeei," and
WHEREAS, Sections 22622 and 22623 of the Streets and Highways Code require that
an Engineer's Report be prepared and filed annually, specifying the assessments to be levied
against the benefitting properties within the City's Landscape Maintenance District No 1, and
WHEREAS, Willdan Financial Services, as the Assessment Engineer, shall prepare and
file with the City Clerk as report in writing as required by the Landscaping and Lighting Act of
1972 and in compliance with Article XIIID of the California Constitution, and
WHEREAS, this City Council has duly considered said report and each and every part
thereof, and finds that each and every part of said report is sufficient, and that no part of the
report requires modification in any respect,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Redlands as follows
Section 1 That the Engineer's Estimate of the itemized costs and expenses of said woi k
and of the incidental expenses in connection therewith, contained in said report be, and each of
them are hereby, preliminarily approved and confirmed
Section 2 I hat the diagram showing Landscape Maintenance District No 1 ieferied to
and described in said report, the boundaries of the lots and parcels of land within said assessment
district as the same existed at the time of passage of this resolution, is hereby preliminarily
approved and confirmed
Section 3 That the proposed assessment upon the properties in Landscape Maintenance
District No 1, in proportion to the estimated benefit to be received by such properties,
respect' ely, from said work and of the incidental expenses thereof, as contained in said report is
hereby preliminarily approved and confirmed
