A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS REMOVING
PROPERTY FROM THE CITY'S AGRICULTURAL PRESERVE
AGRICULTURAL PRESERVE REMOVAL NO 105
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands has established an agricultural preserve pursuant
to the California Land Conservation Act of 1965, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has established criteria for removal of lands from within
the City's Agricultural Preserve, and
WHEREAS, an application has been made to remove the property commonly known
as Assessor's Parcel No 168-071-16 from agricultural preserve status,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands
that
Section 1 The City Council of the City of Redlands hereby approves Agricultural
Preserve Removal No 104 based on the reasons that (1) that the applicant and legal
owner of the property designated as Assessor's Parcel No 168-071-16 has filed an
application in conformity with Redlands' General Plan, (2) the action of removing the
property from the preserve does not circumvent any contract entered into pursuant to the
California Land Conservation Act of 1965, and (3) the removal of the property will not
adversely impact the City's goal of discouraging premature and unnecessary conversion of
agricultural land to urban uses, and will not encourage discontinuous urban development
patterns that unnecessarily increase the costs of community services to Redlands' citizens.
Section 2 Assessor's Parcel No 168-071-16 is hereby removed from the City's
Agricultural Preserve and the City Clerk is hereby directed to amend the City's map
accordingly to show the revised boundaries of the City's agricultural preserve as shown on
the map attached hereto as Exhibit "A "
Section 3 This Resolution shall take effect on the effective date of Ordinance
No 2629
