CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS TO THE REDLANDS BOULEVARD AT
ALABAMA STREET AND COLTON AVENUE INTERSECTION
This first amendment ("First Amendment") to the public works construction contract to
provide certain improvements to the Redlands Boulevard at Alabama Street and Colton Avenue
project dated November 19, 2013, (the "Contract") by and between the City of Redlands.. a
municipal corporation("City'). and All American Asphalt("Contractor"), is made and entered into
this 3rd day of March. 2015.
RECITALS
WHEREAS. it is the desire of City and Contractor to amend the"The Contract Sum"of the
Contract for the provision of additional services. City and Contractor hereby agree as follows:
AGREEMENT
Section 2. "THE CONTRACT SUM" to the Contract is hereby amended to read as
follows:
"THE CONTRACT SUM: City shall pay Contractor the sum of$4,035,000.00 as consideration for
its performance of the Work in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in the Contract
Documents and, in accordance with City-approved written change orders, an additional sum not to
exceed $1,000.000. Pursuant to Public Contract Code section 22300, Contractor has the option to
deposit securities with an escrow agent as a substitute for retention of earnings required to be
withheld by City pursuant to an escrow agreement as set forth in the Public Contract Code Section
22300."
All other provisions of the Contract shall remain in full force and effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF.the parties have executed this First Amendment,to be effective
as of March 3, 2015.
