A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS TO CHANGE
THE NAME OF THE STREET FROM LISA MARIE LANE TO SMILEY BOULEVARD
WHEREAS, the City Council is authorized to establish street names for all streets within
the city limits of the City of Redlands, and
WHEREAS, the property owner of Tremont Ranch located in Riverside County adjacent
to the city limits of the City of Redlands has requested that the name of the street leading
to his property from San Timoteo Canyon Road be renamed from Lisa Marie Lane to
Smiley Boulevard, and
WHEREAS, the Smiley brothers were pioneers in and instrumental to the development of
the City of Redlands as well as the Tremont Ranch property and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the request and determined that the street
should be renamed to reflect the heritage of the City and the area and to further honor the
Smiley Brothers.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDLANDS AS FOLLOWS.
Section 1
Section 2.
The street known as Lisa Marie Lane which extends southerly from San
Timoteo Canyon Road starting just westerly of its intersection with
Alessandro Road toward the Riverside County line shall be renamed Smiley
Boulevard as shown in Exhibit A attached.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this resolution to the
Board of Supervisors of the County of San Bernardino as required by
Government Code Section 34092.
