A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DESIGNATING
CERTAIN TERRITORY WITHIN THE CITY OF REDLANDS AS A REDEVELOPMENT
SURVEY AREA FOR STUDY PURPOSES
WHEREAS, the Redlands City Council and the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Redlands
are interested in examining the formation of a new redevelopment project within the City of Redlands,
and
WHEREAS, the Feasibility Study for a Redevelopment Project Area in the City of Redlands (the
"Feasibility Study") was prepared and includes a recommendation for survey area boundaries, and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Health and Safety Code Section 33310, the City Council, as the
legislative body, may designate a redevelopment survey area for study purposes, and
WHEREAS, the Survey Area is graphically depicted as Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
incorporated herein by this reference, and
WHEREAS, the area shown in Exhibit "A" requires study to determine the boundaries of a
redevelopment project area,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands as
follows
Section 1. The City Council finds that the area depicted in Exhibit "A" requires study to
determine if a redevelopment project within said area is feasible
Section 2 The area depicted in Exhibit "A" and referenced in Section 1 is hereby designated as
a redevelopment survey area
Section 3. The City's Planning Commission is hereby authonzed and directed, in cooperation
with the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Redlands, to select a redevelopment project area from
within the boundaries of the survey area and to formulate a preliminary plan for the area so selected for
submittal to the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Redlands
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 7th day of September, 2004
