HomeMy WebLinkAbout5790RESOLUTION NO 5790 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF A CERTAIN ALLEY BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS as follows: SECTION ONE. The City Council of the City of Redlands hereby elects to proceed under Sections 8320 et. .s . of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California to consider the vacation of a portion of a certain alley in the manner provided therein. SECTION TWO• The City Council does hereby declare its intention to order the vacation of a portion of an alley located north of Cypress Avenue and east of Hibiscus Drive in the R 2 2000 (Multiple Family Residential) District as described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. SECTION THREE. The City Council has preliminarily determined that a portion of said alley is excess right-of-way therefore, such alley portion may not be required for present or prospective public use. SECTION FOUR. The map setting forth the particulars of the proposed alley vacation shall be on file in the Department of Planning and Community Development, Civic Center, 35 Cajon Street, Suite 20, Redlands, California, and is available for inspections by persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation. SECTION FIVE. The City Council hereby fixes the time, date and place of the public hearing on the alley vacation at 7:00 P.M. on the 4th day of December, 2001, City Council Chambers, Civic Center, 35 Cajon Street, Redlands, California. The City Council of the City of Redlands, having elected to proceed under the provisions of Division 9 Part 3, Chapter 2, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, and having held a public hearing as provided herein, hereby finds from all evidence submitted that a portion of an alley located north of Cypress Avenue and east of Hibiscus Drive in the R 1 2000 (Multiple Family Residential) District as described in Exhibit A" (attached hereto and made a part thereof) is necessary for present or prospective public use and that the public interest and convenience require the closing of a portion of said alley SECTION TWO• The City Council hereby orders the vacation of a portion of said alley described in the attached Exhibit A. SECTION THREE.
