Home My WebLink About5821RESOLUTION NO 5821 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS CERTIFYING THAT THE CITY OF REDLANDS HAS THE RESOURCES TO FUND THE WABASH AVENUE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT SUBMITTED FOR INCLUSION IN THE FY 1997/1998 2002/2003 SURFACE TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM AND AFFIRMING ITS COMMITMENT TO IMPLEMENT THE PROJECT WHEREAS, the City of Redlands desires to include the Wabash Avenue Irnprovement Project in the FY 1997/1998 2002/2003 Surface Transportation Program (STP) which funds are provided through the Transportation Equity Act for the 2P1 Century (TEA 21); and WHEREAS, the City of Redlands commits to providing the required local matching contribution of not less than 11 47 percent of the total project cost for the Wabash Avenue Improvement Project; and WHEREAS, the San Bernardino Associated Governments (SANBAG), as agency responsible for administering the Valley Region FY 1997/1998 2002/2003 STP funds provided through the TEA 21 for the San Bernardino County area, requires an approved Resolution from the governing body of the Lead Agency for Wabash Avenue Improvement Project, being included in the STP and being constructed; and WHEREAS, the City of Redlands, as the Lead Agency possesses the legal authority to submit the project for inclusion in the Valley Region FY 1997/1998 2002/2003 STP and to fmance, acquire, and construct the project. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Redlands does hereby Affirm its commitment to the Wabash Avenue Irnprovement Project submitted for inclusion in the Valley Region FY 1997/1998 2002/2003 Surface Transportation Program, and Certify that the City of Redlands will enter into contract with SANBAG committing that it will carry out the project to its completion according to its project schedule (Exhibit A'); and Certify that the City of Redlands will allocate not less than 11 47 percent local matching fund of the total project cost; and Certify that the City of Redlands, as the Lead Agency will comply with applicable provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act, the National Environmental Policy Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Secretary of Interior's Standards and Guidelines for Archaeology and Historic Preservation, and any other Federal, State, and/or local laws, rules and regulations.
