A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS ESTABLISHING
NEW FEES FOR FACILITY RENTALS AND RECREATION SERVICES, PROGRAMS AND
ACTIVITIES AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO 5345
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands, through its Recreation Division, operates the Redlands
Community Center, the Redlands Senior Center and the Joslyn Senior Center to provide its citizens
with facilities at which they may participate in and enjoy various recreational activities; and
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands, through its Recreation Division, also operates playing
fields, and
WHEREAS, these City facilities are intended to be used for City as well as individual and
organized group activities; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 12.44 of the Redlands Municipal Code authorizes this City Council to
establish, by resolution, fees for the use of City facilities; and
WHEREAS, the Recreation Division incurs costs to operate facilities and provide
recreational services, programs and activities and seeks to recover these costs from the participants
in these programs.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Redlands as follows:
Section 1. The user categories and corresponding fees for persons and groups making
application to use City fields and facilities as set forth in Exhibit A attached hereto are hereby
adopted.
Section 2. The fees for seniors, adults and youths participating in recreation services,
programs and activities as set forth in Exhibit A attached hereto are hereby adopted.

Joint Use Agreement with Redlands Unified School District
User Groups.
Group 1 City of Redlands City operated recreation programs and activities. This group
receives first priority for field use and allocations. No rental fee.
Group 2: Organized Youth Sports Registered nonprofit or charitable group with registered
non-profit status with the State of California, complete with tax exempt identification
number, offering organized youth sports. All participants shall be under 18 years of
age. Fees noted below
Group 3 Adult Sports, Community/Business Groups and/or individuals League or organized
sports or activities for participants 18 years of age and over, tournaments; and other
activities requiring field reservations. Fees noted below

Field lighting at Crafton Park and Community Park is paid directly to utility provider by user.
Miscellaneous.
Staff Call -Out fee is $40 per hour and shall be assessed when city staff is called to a field for any of
the following reasons: confirm field reservations, turn lighting on/off, clean garbage/debris left by
users, resolve complaints and/or make repairs resulting from abuse by user.

User Groups.
Group 1 City of Redlands/Public Agency City personnel (for departmental, city and/or
regional business), Council members, Council appointed commissions, committees,
and task forces; public agencies with reciprocal agreements. No fee.
Group 2: Redlands Non-profit Organizations and Community Groups Registered nonprofit
or charitable group with registered non-profit status with the State of California,
complete with tax exempt identification number; community groups with free
membership open to the general public; groups sponsoring activities open to the
public free of charge. No fee.
Group 3 All non-resident individuals or groups; other community groups, businesses and/or
individuals; groups soliciting donations or charging admission; groups sponsoring
activities closed to the general public. Fees noted below

Fees shall be prepaid to guarantee reservation.
Refunds will be issued less a 10% administrative fee.
A processing fee of $10 shall be assessed when applicants and/or participants request deviation from
the standard processing time of five business days.
All user groups shall comply with the City's established field and facility rental policies.
Rental agreements may be negotiated for continuous use of fields and/or facilities. The rates
contained in these agreements may vary from the structure presented above, and shall be approved
by City Council.

A Patron is any senior making a voluntary donation in
excess of $20 per year to either senior center. Patrons
shall receive identification cards and shall save $5 on
senior services, programs and activities.

recreation programs, up to 50% of total cost
