A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS ESTABLISHING
PROCESSING FEES FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION
NO 5334
WHEREAS, Chapter 3.16 of the Redlands Municipal Code authorizes the City Council of the City
of Redlands ("this City Council") to levy fees and charges for costs reasonably borne in providing City
services; and
WHEREAS, this City Council has found and determined that the fees and charges recommended by
the Public Works Department, and the fees and charges established by this Resolution, do not exceed the
estimated reasonable costs of providing the services for which the fees and charges are imposed; and
WHEREAS, this City Council further has found and determined that the fees and charges established
by this Resolution are reasonable, fair and equitable in nature and proportionately representative of the costs
incurred by the City in providing the services; and
WHEREAS, this City Council has made available for review by the public, at least ten (10) days
prior to the public hearing and meeting at which this Resolution is presented, copies of the reports prepared
by David M. Griffith & Associates with data indicating the amount of estimated costs required to provide
the services for which the fees and charges are imposed, and the revenue sources anticipated to provide the
services, including general fund revenues;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS as follows:
Section 1. The fees for providing Public Works Department services, as set forth in Exhibit A
attached hereto, is hereby adopted.
Section 2. Resolution No. 5334 is hereby rescinded.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 7th day of March, 2000.

Request for permit for work commenced prior to issuance
25% of fee for specific type of permit requested.
* Note: Where the 'fee for a requested permit is based upon lineal footage, square foot, cubic yard or
other measurement and results in a dollar amount of less than $50.00, the fee for such permit shall
nevertheless be $50.00 to pay in part, the City's costs of inspection associated with issuance of the permit.
** Note: Where an encroachment permit is requested for a subdivision consisting of many lots requiring
similar inspection criteria by the City the City may require that, in lieu of the fees described above, a deposit
be made with the City by the applicant to pay for the City's actual inspection costs based on a time and
materials basis. The time charged shall be the hourly rates for City employees based upon their annual
compensation.
