A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 5504 RELATIVE TO AN APPLICATION TO
THE LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION TO INITIATE
PROCEEDINGS FOR ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN INHABITED TERRITORY
(ANNEXATION NO 76)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands has adopted Resolution No. 5504
which declared its intention to initiate proceedings with the San Bernardino Local Agency Formation
Commission (LAFCO) to annex certain inhabited lands located within the City's Sphere of
Influence; and
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands has since received requests from numerous owners of
property located in the unincorporated area in the City's Sphere of Influence, commonly known as
the "donut hole," to include their properties within the City's pending annexation request, and
WHEREAS, after consultation with staff of LAFCO, this City Council is informed that the
City may accommodate the wishes of such additional property owners and include those properties
within the City's pending annexation proceedings by amending Resolution No. 5504
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDLANDS AS FOLLOWS.
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Redlands, for the reasons hereinafter
mentioned, has filed an application with LAFCO to initiate proceedings to annex to the City of
Redlands certain territory hereinafter described, as inhabited territory pursuant to the Cortese -Knox
Local Government Reorganization Act of 1985 Division 3, commencing with Section 56000 of the
Government Code of the State of California.
Section 2. That the City Council's reasons for initiating the annexation proceedings are as
follows: The annexation of the hereinafter described territory will contribute to the orderly growth
of the City provide the proper control of street layout, drainage and sanitary sewer design, and
insure the proper use of land in conformity with the overall plan of the City
Section 3 That this proposal is consistent with the City's General Plan governing the Sphere
of Influence of the City of Redlands.
Section 4. That Resolution No. 5504 is hereby amended by the adoption of this Resolution.
Section 5 That the territory which the City Council proposes to annex is hereby identified
as Annexation No. 76 and consists of all that real property situated in the County of San Bernardino,
State of California, described in Exhibit A, attached hereto, and as shown on the maps attached

hereto as Exhibit 'B.
Section 6. That the City Clerk of the City of Redlands is hereby directed to file with
LAFCO of the County of San Bernardino, State of California, a copy of this resolution amending
the proceedings which have been initiated to annex territory to the City of Redlands, to request a
report by the Commission provided for by the Cortese -Knox Local Government Reorganization Act
of 1985, and to submit and execute such other applications and reports as may be required by law
in such annexation proceedings.
