HomeMy WebLinkAbout5495RESOLUTION NO 5495 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS ADOPTING AMENDMENT NO 66 n, AMENDING THE TEXT OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS GENERAL PLAN TO INCORPORATE REQUIREMENTS FOR SOCIO-ECONOMIC COST / BENEFIT STUDIES AND FINDINGS REQUIRED BY MEASURE U' WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Redlands has recommended an amendment to the official land use map of the Redlands General Plan pursuant to Planning Commission Resolution No 878 after holding a public hearing upon notice in accordance with the Government Code of the State of California; and WHEREAS R.P C Resolution No. 878 has been certified to the City Council of the City of Redlands; and WHEREAS on the 25th day of February 1998 a Notice of Public Hearing was published in the Redlands Daily Facts and the San Bernardino County Sun; and WHEREAS following said public hearing, the City Council declares that the proposed amendment is in the interest of the public health, safety and general welfare and WHEREAS all of the provisions of the Government Code relating to the amendment of the General Plan have been complied with; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands: That the amendment to the General Plan adopted by the Planning Commission in R.P C Resolution No. 878 shall be adopted as follows' AMENDMENT NO 66 n TO THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS Amend the text of the City of Redlands General Plan to clarify and supplement requirements for Socio -Economic cost/benefit studies and findings as required by Measure 'U' more particularly described in Exhibit A which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 17th day of March, 1998 '—t Mayor f the City of Redlan s ATTES1 I, Lorne Poyzer, City Clerk, City of Redlands, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting thereof held on the 17th day of March, 1998, by the following vote AYES Councilmembers Banda, Gilbreath, George, Freedman; Mayor Cunningham NOES None ABSENT None GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT NO 66 n EXHIBIT A (d) In addition to those development projects listed in subsection (b) above all other development projects exceeding 5 000 square feet and subject to a discretionary permit shall submit a socio-economic analysis and cost benefit study which shall be included in all environmental documents to the extent permitted by law as part of the application process. The provisions of this section shall not apply to any new single family dwelling unit. (e) For purposes of this section, the definition of 'projects involving structures larger than 5 000 square feet' shall be as follows: (1) The area calculation shall include any building or structure plus any outdoor use as shown on the site plan. The area calculation shall not include the area for required parking. (2) The area calculation shall be the cumulative total area of the described use. (Examples: A 3 000 square foot office building is expanded by 2,500 square feet for a total of 5 500 square feet. A 4 000 square foot nursery structure is expanded by 500 square feet plus outdoor storage of 1 000 square feet for a total of 5 500 square feet.)
