HomeMy WebLinkAboutContracts & Agreements_137-2000_CCv0001.pdf OFFICE OF THE SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS 601 North E Street San Bernardino,CA 92410-3093 AGREEMENT NO. 00/01-0439 THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 7'h day of November 2000, by and between the Office of the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools, hereinafter called "SUPERINTENDENT", and Redlands Fire Department, hereinafter called "ORGANIZATION", WITNESSETH WHEREAS, ORGANIZATION., has qualified under SUPERINTENDENT'S criteria for the Horizon's School to Career Community Based Organization Mini-Grant for the 2000- 2001 school year, and WHEREAS, the SUPERINTENDENT will function as Local Education Agency (LEA) for the distribution of the funds; NOW THEREFORE, in order to meet the goals of the Horizons Partnership in the area of the School-to-Career programs, the SUPERINTENDENT and ORGANIZATION mutually agree as follows: RESPONSIBILITIES AND SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED BY ORGANIZATION 1. ORGANIZATION will partner with one or more school sites, districts, colleges, and/or ROP's. 2. ORGANIZATION will work diligently with school site(s) to accomplish the goals set out in the mini grant application. 3. ORGANIZATION will allow and encourage staff to attend the professional development activities in support of the partnership. 4. ORGANIZATION will identify and/or create a leadership team to support the work of the mini grant. 5. ORGANIZATION will provide requested data and narrative progress reports in a timely fashion. 6. ORGANIZATION will allow regular visitations from the I lorizons staff to review progress and determine areas of need. 7. ORGANIZATION will submit material for the Horizons web site and allow that material to be put on the World Wide Web. 8. ORGANIZATION will allow staff to participate in the Best Practices conference. 9. ORGANIZATION will provide a well-documented account of grant monies expended for review by auditors. M All allocations must be expended, and goods and services received on or before August 30,2001. Encumbrances are not reimbursable. RESPONSIBILITIES AND SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED BY SUPERINTENDENT I SUPERINTENDENT will pay to the ORGANIZATION a sum not to exceed Seven Thousand Five Hundred and no/100 Dollars {$7,500.00). Upon receipt of invoices reflecting costs incurred during the period beginning October 1, 2000 and ending August 30, 2001, the SUPERINTENDENT will reimburse the ORGANIZATION up to the maximum amount of this agreement. (Actual expenditures will be reimbursed. Encumbrances will not be reimbursed.) Final reimbursement invoices for this period must be received by the SUPERINTENDENT no later than September 15, 2001 or risk possible loss of reimbursement. 2. SUPERINTENDENT will provide professional development for the mini-grant recipients. 3. SUPERINTENDENT will collaborate with each of the mini-grant recipients via site visitations and correspondence. 4. SUPERINTENDENT will facilitate the Web site development for reporting progress and best practices. 5. SUPERINTENDENT will facilitate the collection, interpretation and presentation of data regarding the progress and results of the mini-grant project. 6. SUPERINTENDENT will provide technical assistance such as networking, consultation and staff development support for implementation. DURATION OF AGREEMENT The term of this agreement shall be from October 1, 2000. through and including August 30, 2001. HOLD 14ARNILESS ORGANIZATION hereby agrees to save and hold harmless SUPERINTENDENT and its departments, agencies, officers or employees from all sums which SUPERINTENDENT or any of its departments, agencies, officers or employees may be obligated to pay by reason of anv liability imposed upon them for damages arising out of the performance of the services rendered by ORGANIZATION and caused by any error. omission or act of ORGANIZATION or any person employed by him or her or any others whose acts ORGANIZATION is legally liable. Said sums shall include in the event of legal action, court costs expenses of litigation and reasonable attorney's fees. SUPERINTENDENT hereby agrees to save and hold harmless ORGANIZATION and its departments, agencies, officers or employees from all sums which ORGANIZATION or any of its departments, agencies, officers or employees may be obligated to pay by reason of any liability imposed upon them for damages arising out of the performance of the services rendered bye SUPERINTENDENT and caused by any error. omission or act of SUPERINTENDENT or any person employed by him or her or any others whose acts SUPERINTENDENT is legally liable.
