The letter points out two options the City will have regarding the parking lot improvements. (a) If Grant funding becomes available, improvements would include paving, landscaping, irrigation system, security lighting and other amendments to provide a first class parking facility. (b) If Grant funding is not available , the Community Services Department will request Park Tax funds to complete the project . The Parks Commission has indicated they would like to accomplish the above project within the next year. If these two options fail to materialize, the Utilities Department will assume total responsibility for paving the parking lot per your request. It appears very favorable that one of the two options will be implemented during the next year based on conversations with the Community Services Director. Also enclosed is a copy of the revised easement with the width changed to 20 feet. This will allow the contractor to leave the curb in place and also the existing landscaping. 30 CAJON STREET, P.O.
