GRANT OF EASEMENT
FOR A VALUABLE CONSIDERATION, receipt of which is hereby
acknowledged, the CITY OF REDLANDS, a Municipal Corporation, does
hereby grant to THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and its assigns, an
easement for the establishment, maintenance, operation and use
for a restricted safety area, in, on, over , and across the land
described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and by reference made a
part hereof , consisting of the right to prohibit human
habitation; the right to prohibit gatherings of more than twenty-
five (25) persons; the right to post signs indicating the nature
and extent of the Government' s control; and the right of ingress
and egress over and across said land for the purpose of
exercising the rights set forth herein; subject however, to
existing easements for public roads and highways, public
utilities, railroads and pipelines; reserving, however, to the
City of Redlands, its successors and assigns, all such rights and
priviledges as may be used without interfering with or abridging
the rights and easement hereby acquired. This easement to be of
10-year duration beginning on 3 January 1987.

State, personally appeared CAROLE BESWICK known to me to be the Mayor of the
City of Redlands and LORRIE POY7.RR , known to me to be the City Clerk of the
City of Redlands, the corporation that executed the within instrument, and known to
me to be the persons who executed the within instrument on behalf of the corporation there-
in named, and acknowledged to me that such corporation executed the within instrument

Dear Mr. Mutter :
Pursuant to your conversation with Mrs . Nanette Newby of
this office, we advise that the Government has a continuing need
for the Grant of Easement cited above and wishes to renew this
easement for an additional ten (10) year period.
Please return a signed, dated, notarized copy of the
enclosed instruments together with a copy of the minutes of the
City Council authorizing the execution of the easement.
We would appreciate receiving these documents just as soon
as possible inasmuch as the present easement expires on
January 2, 1987.
