CITY OF REDLANDS, a municipal corporation, (hereinafter referred to as "Grantor"), hereby grant
to SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON COMPANY, a corporation, its successors and assigns (hereinafter
referred to as "Grantee"), an easement and right of way to construct, use, maintain, operate, alter, add
to, repair, replace, reconstruct, inspect and remove at any time and from time to time underground
electrical supply systems and communication systems (hereinafter referred to as "systems"), consisting
of wires, underground conduits, cables, vaults, manholes, handholes, and including above-ground
enclosures, markers and concrete pads and other appurtenant fixtures and equipment necessary or useful
for distributing electrical energy and for transmitting intelligence by electrical means, in, on, over, a C
under, across and along that certain real property in the County of San Bernardino, State of California, m c

A strip of land, 10 feet in width, lying within a portion of Lot 2, Block 10, Mentone Stretch Map, as o
per map recorded in Book 8, Page 81 of Maps, in the Office of the Recorder of said County; the t
centerline of said strip being described as follows: z u

BEGINNING at a point in the Westerly line of Grafton Avenue, as now established, said point being i
distant thereon 540 feet Southerly of the centerline of Mentone Avenue, as now established; z z
thence Westerly, parallel with said centerline of Mentone Avenue, 65 feet; thence Northerly, Z
parallel with said Westerly line of Crafton Avenue, a distance of 60 feet.

The Grantor agrees for itself, its successors and assigns, not to erect, place or maintain, nor to rn
permit the erection, placement or maintenance of any building, planter boxes, earth fill or other A
structures except walls and fences on the above described real property. The Grantee, and its r
contractors, agents and employees, shall have the right to trim or cut tree roots as may endanger or i :n
interfere with said systems and shall have free access to said systems and every part thereof, at all ; o
times, for the purpose of exercising the rights herein granted; provided, however, that in making any m o
excavation on said property of the Grantor, the Grantee shall make the same in such manner as will cause z
the least injury to the surface of the ground around such excavation, and shall replace the earth so 0
removed by it and restore the surface of the ground to as near the same condition as it was prior to such
excavation as is practicable.

SUBJECT: Electric Service to Well
Located at 1261 Crafton Avenue, Mentone
Our Work Order No. 6431-3040/0-3013
In response to your request for electric service, we will need an easement in order to construct and
maintain the electric facilities to your development. A sketch is enclosed showing the location of
the proposed facilities
Also enclosed are an original and copy of a Grant of Easement. Please have the authorized officers of
the City execute the original. Their signatures must be notarized and the City seal should be affixed
to the document.
Please return the signed and notarized document in the envelope provided for your convenience.
Upon the return of the document, the facilities will be scheduled for installation. The copy of the
easement may be kept for your files.
