CITY OF REDLANDS, a municipal corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Grantor"), hereby grants to
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON COMPANY, a corporation, its successors and assigns (hereinafter referred to
as "Grantee"), an easement and right of way to construct, use, maintain, operate, alter, add to, repair,
replace, reconstruct, inspect and remove at any time and from time to time underground electrical supply
systems and communication systems (hereinafter referred to as "systems"), consisting of wires, underground
conduits, cables, vaults, manholes, handholes, and including above-ground enclosures, markers and concrete
pads and other appurtenant fixtures and equipment necessary or useful for distributing electrical energy and
for transmitting intelligence by electrical means; in, on, over, under, across and along that certain real
property in the County of San Bernardino, State of California, described as follows.
A strip of land 14 feet in width lying within Lot 8 of Barton Ranch, in the City of Redlands,
County of San Bernardino, State of California, as per Map recorded in Book 6, page 19, of Maps,
Records of said County. The centerline of said strip berg described as follows:
COMMENCING at the intersection of the centerlines of Orange Avenue and Nevada Street, as noir
established; thence southerly along the centerline of said Nevada Street„ a distance of 210 feet; thence
easterly on a lobe parallel to the centerline of said Orange Avenue, a distance of 40 feet more or less to
point on the easterly litre of said Nevada'Street, said int being the TRUE I T OF BEGINNING;
thence continuing easterly on a line parallel to the centerline of said Orange Avenue, a distance of 60
feet
This legal description was prepared pursuant to Seo:, 8730(c) of the Business & Professions
The Grantor agrees for itself, its successors and assigns, not to erect, place or maintain, nor to permit
the erection, placement or maintenance of any building, planter boxes, earth fill or other structures except
walls and fences on the above described reap property, The Grantee, and its contractors, agents and employees,
shall have the right to trim or cot tree roots as may endanger or interfere with said systems and shall have
free
vefree access to said systems and every part thereof, at all braes, for the purpose of exercis,ing the rights
herein granted; provided, however, that in ;laking any excavation on said property of the Grantor, the Grantee
shall make the same in such ;manner as will cause the least injury to the surface of the ground around such
excavation, and shall replace the earth so removed by it and restore the surface of the ground to as near the
same condition as it was prior to such excavation as is practicable.

Police Dispalcb Services Contract - Following brief discussion,
Councilmember Cunningham moved to approve the contract between the
County of San Bernardino and the City of Redlands for police dispatch serv-
ices and authorized the Mayor and City Clerk to sign on behalf of the City
subject to approval of legal counsel. Motion seconded by Councilmember
Milson and carried unanimously.
Water Tanker 1—m - On motion of Councilmember Larson, seconded by
Councilmember Milson, Council unanimously authorized the General Services
Director to negotiate the trade of excess City equipment to the City of Loma
Linda for a used water truck for the California Street Landfill, and authorized
conversion of the truck at a cost not to exceed $10,000.00.
Qrant of Easement - On motion of Councilmember Larson, seconded by
Councilmember Milson, Council unanimously approved a grant of easement
to the Southern California Edison Company for Weil 3$ and Church Street
Well, and authorized the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the document on
behalf of the City.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 7:52 P.M. to an
adjourned regular meeting to be held on November 4, 1992, at 6:30 P.M. in
the Council Chambers, 212 Brookside Avenue, Redlands, California.
