An easement for the construction, maintenance and operation of electric lines and telephone lines and cables and incidental purposes, as granted to Southern California Edison Company, a corporation, by deed recorded November 15, 1911 in book 493, page 297 of Deeds. The exact location and extent of said easement is not disclosed of record. 5. A recital as contained in the deed from Prendergast Estates, Inc. , a corporation, to Lewis W. Butterfield, a married man, recorded January 12, 1924 in book 822, page 200 of Deeds, which recites: "This deed does not convey or purport to convey any surface water for irrigation purposes." 6. An easement for the construction, maintenance and operation of electric lines and telephone lines and cables and incidental purposes, as granted to Southern California Edison Company, a corporation, by deed recorded December 3, 1952 in book 3065, page 494, Official Records. Said easement is described as follows: All poles shall be erected and maintained within 1 foot of the following described line: Beginning at a point on the west line of Wabash Avenue, distant 895 feet south of the south line of Colton Avenue, as said avenue now exists; thence south 85° west 300 feet to Point "A"; thence continue along the last mentioned course, 685 feet to Point "B"; thence continue along the last mentioned course, 50 feet. Also beginning at a point 50 feet due north of Point "A" set out hereinabove; thence due south 590 feet. Also beginning at a point 50 feet due north of point "B" set out hereinabove; thence due south 435 feet. An easement for the construction, maintenance and operation of a pipeline and incidental purposes as conveyed to the City of Redlands, a municipal corporation by deed recorded June 11, 1973 in book 8201, page 596, Official Records, described as follows: A 10 foot wide water line easement lying within a portion of Lots 1, 2, 16, 17, 18, 19 and Terrace Street per Chicago Colony Reservation, in the City of Redlands, as per plat recorded in book 3 of Maps, page 75, records of said County, the centerline of said easement being described as follows: Commencing at the centerline intersection of 66 foot wide Colton Avenue and 60 foot wide Dearborn Street; thence south 999.08 feet along the said centerline of Dearborn Street to its intersection with the westerly extension of the north line of the property mentioned and described in that certain deed of date recorded June 16, 1891 in book 134, page 163 of Deeds; thence south 89° 59' 35" east 795.56 feet (east 796 feet record per plat said deed recorded in book 134, page 163 of Deeds) along the said north line to the northeast corner of said property per deed recorded June 16, 1891; thence north 89° 59' 35" west 23.00 feet along the said north line of the property per deed recorded June 16, 1891 to the true point of beginning; thence from the true point of beginning north 251.98 feet more or less to a point that lies 5 feet south of the south right-of-way (50 foot in width) of the Southern Pacific Railroad; thence easterly and northeasterly on a line that lies southerly and 5 feet distant from the southerly right-of-way line of said Southern Pacific Railroad to its terminus in the west line of Wabash Avenue. 8. Said easement is described as follows: A strip of land 10 feet in width lying within that portion of Lots 1, 2, 18 and 19 of Chicago Colony Reservation, as per plat recorded in book 3 of Maps, page 75, records of said County, lying south of the southerly line of the Southern Pacific Railroad Right of Way. Said strip of land 10 feet in width lying coincident with and adjacent to said southerly line of said Southern Pacific Railroad Right of Way. OWNER'S INFLATION PROTECTIVE INDORSEMENT NO. 3 The Company, recognizing the current effect of inflation on real property valuation and intending to provide additional monetary protection to the Insured Owner named in said Policy, hereby modifies said Policy, as follows: 1. Notwithstanding anything contained in said Policy to the contrary, the amount of insurance provided by said Policy, as stated in Schedule A thereof, is subject to cumulative annual upward adjustments in the manner and to the extent hereinafter specified. 2. "Adjustment Dote" is defined, for the purpose of this Indorsement, to be 12:01 a.m. on the first January 1 which occurs more than six months after the Date of Policy, as shown in Schedule A of the Policy to which this Indorsement is attached and on each succeeding January 1. 3. An upward adjustment will be made on each of the Adjustment Dates, as defined above, by increasing the maximum of insurance provided by said Policy (as said amount may have been increased theretofore under the terms of this Indorsement) by the some percentage, if any, by which the United States Department of Commerce Composite Construction Cost Index (base period 1967) for the month of September immediately preceding exceeds such Index for the month of September one year earlier; provided, however, that the maximum amount of insurance in force shall never exceed 175% of the amount of insurance stated in Schedule A of said Policy, less the amount of any claim paid under said Policy which under the terms of the Conditions and Stipulations, reduces the amount of insurance in force. There shall be no annual adjustment in the amount of insurance for years in which there is no increase in said Construction Cost Index. 4. In the settlement of any claim against the Company under said Policy, the amount of insurance in force shall be deemed to be the amount which is in force as of the date on which the insured claimant first learned of the assertion or possible assertion of such claim, or as of the date of receipt by the Company of the first notice of such claim, whichever shall first occur. Nothing herein contained shall be construed as extending or changing the effective date of said Policy. This indorsement is made a part of said Policy and is subject to the schedules, conditions and stipulations therein, except as modified by the provisions hereof. She added that crossing guards are an important matter. She pointed out that although the City cannot use CETA employees, that the Crossing school may use CETA employees for this purpose. Council- Guards man Riordan also added that the teachers may walk the children across the streets at noon. Following discus- sion, Councilman Riordan moved that Mr. Archbold be authorized to negotiate with the School. Board and re- port to them that due to lack of funding the City will be willing to train the persons and administer the pro- gram. Motion seconded by Councilman Knudsen and carried. Bid Call On motion of Councilman DeMirjyn, seconded by Council- San Timoteo man Knudsen, the City Clerk was authorized to advertise Canyon Road for bids for the realignment of San Timoteo Canyon Road. Bid Call On motion of Councilman DeMirjyn, seconded by Council- man Knudsen, the City Clerk: was authorized to advertise Sylvan Park for bids for lighting for Sylvan Park. This is a Block Lighting Grant Project. A request for water service for three single family lots in San Timoteo Canyon west of Beaumont Road was made by Outside-City Mr. Don Foreman. The Department of Public Works states Water that this is a logical expansion of the city domestic Service water system and recommended the service be granted subject to compliance with all outside-city service Foreman requirements.
