Holmes, City Manager Daniel J. McHugh, City Attorney Lorrie Poyzer, City Clerk Jeff Dillon, Redlands Daily Facts Pamela Fitzsimmons, The Sun ABSENT None Water Line On motion of Councilmember Cunningham, seconded by Easements Councilmember Larson, Council approved, by AYE votes of all present, execution of two quitclaim deeds from the Redlands Municipal Water District (which was acquired by the City of Redlands in 19137 to California Inland Empire Council, Inc. , Boy Scouts of America, for water line easements within the property located at the northeast corner of Rosette Street and Crescent Avenue. Senior Center Councilmembers agreed at the onset of the discussion about a site Site for a multipurpose senior center that the City will not purchase land for this purpose, but will utilize City-owned property. Information was provided by Community Services Director Rodriguez, Redevelopment Agency Director McMenemy, Community Development Director Shaw, City Engineer Mutter, Finance Director Kaenel, City Planner Sondra Morison, and architect Clare Day for the following sites: Fern Avenue and Redlands Boulevard, a parcel adjacent to the Jennie Davis Park, and two- locations, one on Eureka Street and another on Grant Street, adjacent to Smiley Park. A fourth site suggested, the DMV building on Center Street, needed further study. Mr. Tony Martinez suggested locating the facility at San Bernardino Avenue and Texas Street. Members of the audience informed Councilmembers the American Legion has given two weeks notice that the rent will be increased to $1,000 per month. Councilmembers agreed to continue this dialogue at the Tuesday, May 1, 1990, evening session. Council briefly recessed at 9:25 A.M. and reconvened at 9:37 A.M. Councilmember Beswick was not in attendance when the meeting reconvened. Councilmember Milson informed those present that the Inland Valley Development Agency meetings will be televised through Cablevision. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 9:39 A.M. to an adjourned regular meeting to be held on Tuesday, May' 1, 1990, at 8:00 A.M. in the City Hall Conference Room.
