The meeting was called to order by Mayor Burroughs .
The minutes of the regular meeting of December 19, and of the special
meeting of December 27, 1967 were approved as submitted.
This special meeting of the Parking Authority was called to consider
the construction of parking lots by the Parking Authority. At this
time it is the recommendation of the City Attorney that condemnation
procedures be authorized for acquisition of property shown on the Town
Square development map as parking places , for which it may prove impos-
sible to negotiate.
The 'Parking Authority discussed authorizing the City Attorney to conduct
such eminent domain proceedings as necessary for acquisition of propert
olution for parking places in accordance with plans and agreement with other
2 parties concerned in Town Square, Following the discussion, on motion
of Councilman Hartzell, seconded by Councilman Cummings; the Parking
Authority unanimously adopted Resolution No. 2, entitled "Resolution of
the Parking Authority of the City of Redlands Authorizing the Commence-
ment of Condemnation Proceedings for the Purpose of Acquiring and Takin
Certain Real Property for Public Parking Facility Purposes, " and the
olution Parking Authority unanimously adopted Resolution No. 3, entitled "Reso-
3 lution of the Parking Authority of the City of Redlands Authorizing the
Commencement of Condemnation Proceedings for the Purpose of Acquiring
and Taking Certain Real Property for Public Parking Facility Purposes . "
There being no further business, the Parking Authority adjourned, on
motion.
