Paul Barich, President of the Chamber of Commerce, stated that the Redlands Chamber of Commerce
opposed implementation of the Public Art Ordinance indicating that it would be counter productive to
economic development and deter quality projects from developing in Redlands.
Donna West, Redlands School Board member, commented on the benefits that the cultural arts would
bring to the Redlands community.
C. Workshop and discussion on Ordinance Text Amendment No. 313, Art in Public Places
Ordinance
There was discussion between both the Planning and Cultural Arts Commissions relative to the issues

the proposed ordinance and indicated that another joint meeting may take place in the future.
