Chairman Cummings called the meeting to order
for the purpose of considering rules of
procedure for the Redevelopment Agency of
the City of Redlands.
On motion of Councilman Miller, seconded by
mak= Councilman Sewall, rules of procedure was
adopted unanimously as presented.
Chairman Cummings stated that the Redevelopment
Agency would now receive a report from the
committee working under Chairman Burroughs
for improvement of East State Street. Mr.
Burroughs presented Larry Myers. Mr. Myers
explained that this area contains the properties
between Fourth and Seventh Street on East State
Street and part of Fifth Street and that now
two-thirds of the total property owners had
signed. He added that this is all that is
needed legally, but that they will continue
to contact 100% of the property owners. He
stated that this program ties in with the
Council Redevelopment plans as this will
provide an updated appearance but no new
ANSI, commercial area, Mr. Myers added that they
will return as soon as possible with the signed
petition.
Chairman. Cummings thanked these gentlemen
for their work to refurbish State Street and
added that the strong east portion of downtown
brought good reports from the appraisers.
Council concurred that it is very heartening
to see so many people willing to work, willing
to sign their names to the petition, and allot
funds to this improvement.
There being no further business, the Redevel-
opment Agency adjourned,
