Jack B . Cummings , Mayor-Chairman Charles G. DeMirjyn, Vice Mayor-Member Chresten, M. Knudsen, Councilman-Member Ellsworth F. Miller, Councilman-Member Sam S . Sewall. , Councilman-Member R. P. Merritt , Jr . , City Manager-Redevelopment Director Edward F. Taylor, City Attorney Peggy A. Moseley, City Clerk Chuck Palmer, San Bernardino Sun C' None The meeting was topened with the pledge of allegiance, followed by the invocation by Reverend 'Phomas J. Walling of the Central Church of Christ. Mayor Cummings welcomed the few people in attendance and explained that the meeting was held in this location because the hearing on. the Redevelopment Plan had been tabled to this time from the meeting of September 6 held here in Clock Auditorium. Deputy Director of Redevelopment Mr . John Wagner described the change in area of the Redevelopment Project Area as directed by the citizens attending the last meeting and stated that this is essentially along Colton Avenue from Church Street to New York, then north on New York Street extended to Lugonia Avenue, then west to the cit v limits . Mr . Carl Doss, Chairman of the Downtown Committee of the Chamber Commerce, expressed regret at the decrease of the area and urged �r speed in moving ahead. Mr. Knudsen spoke briefly about the tax freeze which would be a of the redevelopment program. Clarification of this matter was by Mr . Doss , Councilman Sewall, Mr. Hill. and Mr. Merritt . if Where being no further comments, Mayor Cummings at this time clo public hearing, and the joint meeting of the Council and Redevel Agency adjourned, on motion, to meetings of each separate entity held immediately.
