Hein, Redlands Daily Facts Chuck Palmer, San Bernardino Sun ABSENT None The minutes of the special meeting of October 29, 1974 were approved with the fallowing addition: "Mr. Merritt reported the Osbuns had granted the Agency a right of possession on their property located on the southwest corner of Third and Redlands Boulevard at no cost to the Agency. This action permitted the initiation of construction on the McEwen ' s Furniture Store. " BIDS The fallowing bids for Phase One Demolition, Redevelopment Area, were opened and publicly declared in the office of the City Clerk at 10 :00 A.M. this date: Dare Wrecking Company Bid Award Sylmar, California Total Bid: $65,460.00 Demolition W. F . Hathaway China, California Total Bid: 48,352.00 The bids were referred to the Department of Build- ing and Safety for study and recommendation. At this time it is the recommendation of Mr. Mitchell that the low, qualified bid of W. F. Hathaway in the amount of $48, 352 be accepted. On motion of Member Grace, seconded by Member DeMirjyn, unani- mous approval was given to the award of the bid for demolition to W. F. Hathaway in the amount of $48, 352.00 . Following a brief discussion, on motion of Member Appointment DeMirjyn, seconded by Member Miller, the firm of � �- Auditors Eadie and. Payne were approved as auditors for the Redevelopment Agency. Grant Deeds On motion of Member DeMirjyn, seconded by Member Y , Redlands Miller, grant deeds from Redlands Security Com- Security Co. parry and from Fred W. and Viola M. Gowland and Gowland Jeanette DeRoo to the Redevelopment Agency dere unanimously accepted. Acting Director Merritt stated that there was an excellent article in the real estate section of the November 3rd edition of the Los Angeles Times describing the redevelopment project.
