The minutes of the regular meeting of September
21, 1976, were approved as submitted.
Mr. Mitchell presented Mr . Andy McTigue who
addressed the Redevelopment Agency with a request for
financial assistance from the City in running a cable
for Cable Television into the Redlands Mall.
Televents plans to run the cable across Eureka
Street and into the Harris ' building for news ser-
vices, advertising, and public notices . This was
discussed at length, and Council concluded that
financial assistance to Televents would be supporting
private industry and would not be a legal use of
Redevelopment Funds . Council did agree to give an
easement for the installation of this, if necessary.
On motion of Member Miller, seconded by Member
Elliott, the Agency denied any financial assistance
in this endeavor, but agreed to furnish an easement
as described, if necessary, across the area described
Dr . Miller expressed concern about water coming down
State Street and directly into the entrance of the
Mall. Mr . Shefchik replied that a pipe is being
