The minutes of the regular meeting of the Redevelopment
Agency of February 21, 1978, were approved as submitted.
BIDS The following bids were opened and publicly declared by
the City Clerk at 10 :00 A.M. on March 16, 1978, for the
development of the park at Fifth and State Street.

At this time, it is the recommendation of Executive
Director Mitchell that as these bids exceed the cost
estimate, they be studied by the Redevelopment Task
Force in order that the Task Force can reconsider the
priority against available funds, $650,000.00
Member Elliott stated that he felt that the original
plan had grown a great deal and he was unaware of a
structure planned for this park; he recalled the plan
as one of grass, planters, and benches. Mr. Elliott
recommended the bids be referred to the Redevelopment
Task Force which meets on Thursday morning, March 30.
On motion of Councilman Elliott, seconded by Councilman
IWO DeMirjyn, approval was given by the Redevelopment
Agency.
There being no further business, the Agency adjourned,
on motion, at 3 :25 P.M.
