MINUTES of a special meeting of the Redevelopment Agency of
the City of Redlands, held in the Council Chambers,
Safety Hall, 212 Brookside Avenue, on February 2 ,
1982 , at 4 :15 P.M.

ABSENT None
This special meeting of the Redevelopment Agency was
called for the purpose of requesting Safeco Title
Insurance Company to conduct a title search of pro-
perty along the Southern Pacific Railroad from
001 Orange Street easterly to Wabash Avenue. Chairman
DeMirjyn called the meeting to order.
Mr. Christiansen explained that this is the first
step toward acquisition of this property for adequate
flood control. Total cost is estimated at $25,000;
$12 ,000 from Storm Drain Fund and $12 ,500 from
Redevelopment.
Member Gorman expressed his delight to have reached
this point and moved to approve the additional appro-
Title priation to conduct the preliminary title search.
Search Motion seconded by Member Martinez .
Flood Attorney Holmes questioned exactly what the Agency
Control and City were buying for this amount. He wanted the
members to be aware this was not for title insurance
or litigation guarantee. He further stated he had
not been able to contact Mr. Dan Hanson of Safeco to
find out what 200 F-6 Binders were.

Following discussion, Member Gorman moved to hold
rI over this item until February 16 , 1982 , for further
W information. Motion seconded by Member Martinez
and carried unanimously.
There being no further business scheduled for this
meeting, the Redevelopment Agency adjourned, on
motion, at 4 :25 P.M. to an adjourned special meeting
on February 16 , 1982 , at 4 :00 P.M. , or as soon
immediately thereafter as City Council business
permits, in the Council Chambers, Safety Hall, 212
Brookside Avenue, Redlands, California.
Next regular meeting, March 2 , 1982.
