MINUTES of an adjourned regular meeting of the Redevelopment
Agency of the City of Redlands held in the Council
Chambers, Safety Hall, 212 Brookside Avenue, on July
20 , 1982 , at 4 :10 P.M.

ABSENT None
The minutes of the regular meeting of the Redevelopment
Agency of the City of Redlands of July 6 , 1982 , were
approved as submitted.
Bob Mitchell, member of CREATE, reviewed the desires
of the group to revitalize the core area of downtown
and the need to have a cooperative effort to make busi-
ness thrive in Redlands. At this time, CREATE is
recommending the appointment of a selection committee
to send out proposals, review the consulting firms that
CREATE submit proposals, and recommend the best qualified to be
hired by the Redevelopment Agency as a consultant.
CREATE recommends the appointment of the following to
this selection committee : Dick Burkhart, Bob Wallace,
Bill Schindler, Gene Malone, Leon Armantrout, Sharyn
Simmer, Jan Nicks, Les Kovalcik, Don Crook, John Moore,
Ken King, and Cynthia Reynolds.
Following discussion, Member Martinez volunteered to
serve as liason on this selection committee. Member
Selection Johnson moved to name the selection committee as recom-
Committee mended by CREATE and proceed with the proposals subject
to the City Attorney' s review. Motion seconded by
Member Martinez and carried with Memeber DeMirjyn voting
NO stating he would prefer to use money to improve
Eureka and Sixth Streets rather than for another study.

Member Martinez moved that the record indicate the
Redevelopment Agency supports the concept of CREATE.
100101 Motion seconded by Member Johnson and carried with
Member DeMirjyn voting NO.
There being no further business, the Redevelopment
Agency adjourned, on motion, at 4 : 30 P.M.
Next regular meeting, September 7 , 1982.
